Dubrovnik's Summer Festival


I walked into the Old Town last night, full with locals & tourists waiting for the start of the 60th summer festival. After dinner we were just in time for the spectacular fireworks. Lasting 47 days the annual summer festival gathers more than 2,000 artists from around the world - transforming Dubrovnik Old Town into a unique stage.

    Wow, 47 days! That's quite a festival! Our little town is just winding down a 3 day festival....I would love to see what some of the artists are doing in Dubrovnik. Any interesting jewelry?

    Hi the rich festival features classical music, dance, opera and theatre. The Old Town fortress walls become the backdrop for many plays such as Shakespeare's Hamlet, even Goran Visnjic (E.R.) is known to come and play a part. For the interesting jewellery - indeed we have all year round some fabulous art galleries and hand-made jewellery shops/exhibitions.
